1991 World Aerobic Championship
On May the 30th, 18 member Nations of the International Competitive Aerobics Federation send their national champions to Nashville Grand Ole Opry House to compete, including - among them - the 1990 defending champions Jeff Vandiver (USA), Natalie Tomaro (Canada), Denilce Campos & Claudio Lima (Brazil). From a field of over 125 world-class competitors, seven will capture the gold and the title of 1991 World Aerobic Champions, sharing 25.000 $ prize money. Joan Wenson wins the gold in the Woman Individual, Marcio de Oliveira the Man Individual, and Japanese Kenichiro Nomura debuts at the World Aerobic Championship; he will become an icon of this sport.
