On July the 22nd, the largest-ever collection of National Aerobic Champions, over 150 in all, travels to Las Vegas from the far reaches of the globe, in the hope of becoming one of the seven World Aerobics Champions. Cile, Costa Rica, Mexico, and India participate for the first time. The event's Finals, held in the Aladdin Hotel Theatre, is seen by millions of people in some sixty Countries when it airs in October of the same year on ESPN and other significant media outlets. Michelle Nevidomsky and Chris Galen from the USA bring home the gold, together with Australia’s Marcus Irwin in the man individual and Japan's Sachiko Kondoh in Individual women and Nomura-Hattori- Itokawa in the team division.
