1994 World Aerobic Championship
The 1994 World Aerobic Championship is held on the 7th of June in Las Vegas, at the Cashman Center Theatre. The Sport of competitive aerobics continued to grow worldwide, and 31 National Aerobic Championships Worldwide are represented at this year’s championship. The number of athletes increased to a point where it has been decided to add a semifinal round, to give the best ten athletes in each category a second chance to access the top five Finals. For the first time, a former champion successfully defends his title, and Alessandro Paiva entered history as the first 2-times in a row World Champion. Sue Stanley from Australia performs a previously unseen element, the spectacular 1&½ gainer to push up, and brings home the gold medal.
