2004 World Aerobic Championship
The 2004 edition takes place in Los Angeles and sees Sachiko Kataoka of Japan finally winning the individual category in her 7th consecutive participation. This year marks the last competition of two historic champions: Claudio Franzen and Roberson Magalhaes win the Trio with Olga Cardoso, before definitively retiring. Lorena Luiso and Jorge Fillon lose the title in the Trio, but gain the gold in Mixed Pairs. In December of this year, ANAC will accept to adopt the FIG Code of Point and to change the name of the event from World to International Aerobic Championship, making the seven winners of this year the last ANAC official World champions.
