The competition is held in Los Angeles, and it’s dominated by Brazil (three gold medals) and Korea (two gold medals). For the first time, it’s held in conjunction with the FIG World Series. The athletes could compete in one or both competitions, but Angela McMillan (NZL), Daiana Nanzer (ARG) and the trio Ramirez, Rodriguez, Pena (MEX) are the only three getting a medal at both events. No one of the gold medallists competed in both, thus resulting in two completely separate rankings.
